>>20508I wouldn't say Leon had a lot more with the other characters. Moreso, it felt like Mahiro had more screentime than both Nina and Leon. So if the anime wanted to tell the Nina x Leon love story, it did fail in the first half. Then, if that was not it, fuck, WHAT did this anime want to do? I'm not sure. It wasn't the story of Leon growing up, cause the training she was doing was mostly offscreen. It wasn't the story of Nina changing her outlook, cause that was mostly the result of getting wet for Leon, and that didn't have enough focus for like two thirds of the anime. It wasn't even about Mahiro's ambitions, because the end of the anime forgot about them and didn't bring anything conclusive on that front. And it certainly wasn't something generic about "friends friends", considering how it went into obvious-but-obscured yuri.
But I enjoyed the mess, so it's okay.
