>And why is she suddenly the kind of person that can go against her parent only half-heartedly?Asuka has always been shown to avoid dealing with problems and act facetiously in regards to her own issues, but it was quite clear that she cared about playing music more than anything else, as illustrated in S1 when she told Midori to fuck off if she was going to drag down their practice. It seems reasonable enough that not wanting to quit the club would be the one thing she'd stand up for, but her mother clearly has issues, which is something that also needs to be expanded on.
