This anime is starting to win points with me. We might have another dark horse this season.

What's up with Watari Wataru? I actually seem to be enjoying his works, other than Yahari that is. Was Yahari basically him just trying to make a name for himself in the industry? From what I have heard it seems like he is not even writing much of it any more.

I don't feel minimally attached to the characters, and the fact that they die doesn't bother me at all.
I'll keep watching because of Alice, but if she turns out to be as bad as the others I'll probably drop this.

So I was indeed able to pretty much figure out the last boss. That said it is not like I was made to care and the ending was very open. If this was a faithful adaptation then the LN is probably going in a complete different direction than how it started. It makes me think of Ender Saga in this aspect.

CGI is really everywhere for some reason nowadays and they're rarely used well.
There's not much you can expect since they're like a cheaper version of hand-animation to begin with but goddamn does it stick out like a giant ball of rotten butter in a pile of gold.

I am disappointed. I was expecting a Softenni, but instead we might have a Saki. The competitiveness of the sport is important and there is even some drama going on. So far it is lacking in proper representation of matches, though. But it has potential to be something interesting,
