>Not!German invading Not!Poland, Not!France and in war with Not!Britain
>A princess from Not!Austria strives against thick and thin and deals with POLITICS as she requests help from Not!Britain
Okay.

>Nazis kidnapping rifle-riding witches

>"Oh hey that princess protected me before I'm not a lesbian I swear."
Now seriously.

Why can't we have a WW2 anime that isn't plagued with this kind of bullshit.(Who are you quoting?)

Wouldn't it have been easier to throw her in a crate than having to shoot every poor sod who stumbles across her?

Maybe they just want to shoot people. Or they needed drama.

There were also the locks on it that didn't do anything.

This one got my head shaking too. Nazis can't secure their CONFIDENTIAL TOP SECRET cargo even if it costs them their lives. They should at least have the decency to camouflage it as normal cargo.

Was that unexplained? Must be a sloppy writing then.

I didn't really think too much about it since the villain is kind of cartoony. I mean, he's even got a golden gun.

Did Tobias survive?

My immediate reaction to the ley lines deal was that they were going to use it to conveniently decide when Izetta can and can't fight whenever it suits the author, so I'm glad they followed it up with the map and resolved that.
This still feels like I'm watching a knockoff of Valkyria Chronicles though.

Valkyria chronicles was what I thought of too, but I don't really mind that. I generally love this sort of setting, you get fun 40s tech without magic getting too much in the way, plus royalty being relevant.

Am I the only one disturbed by her tits in this shot? They are too big and in a very bad way. They are basically granny tits at best and a deformed inhuman mess at worst. To not show her nipples in this short they made them very long and it looks awful.

There were no spy movies to watch back then. How would they know?

Episode 5 was mostly good, but this annoyed the hell out of me for how contrived it was. Why were they even speaking out in the woods in the first place?
At least they were quick to resolve it and it didn't end up leaking like that. Sieg did nothing wrong.

The last witch is not last any more. Dropped.

 No.17888

I forgot to mention this, but episode 8 was already pretty bad and full of contrivances to push the plot forward.

How did the Germanian scientist know that there was a door in the old castle that required witch blood to open? How did the Germanian scientist get into Elystadt with the science witch and make his way to a ball filled with high ranking politicians and country leaders without being found by anyone? Why were both Fine and Izetta stupid enough to take their eyes off of him?
Why did royal guard girl not think it strange that a man was talking about a version of the legend of the witch that no one in Elystadt had ever heard of, when she was searching for a spy? Why didn't Sieg, as cautious as he was, destroy the map in the old castle after they had made their own copy? Why did royal guard girl have a dramatic encounter with spy boy when they'd known each other for all of a rocky few hours? Why did the sniper guard kill the other spy and then not keep her eye on the body until her allies had gotten to the body, thus allowing another complete nobody spy to approach the body and take the evidence?

You can't just brush all this shit off and think it's okay; this is just plain bad storytelling. I've given up all hope for this series.
