The premise seemed somewhat interesting but the first episode was so bad. Judging by people's reactions to the second, I think I'm dropping it. I just don't get how they made it so dull.

I actually like this show. I don't even know why. That final scene in ep 3 was pure gold.

>>19397It would have been way more interesting if he forgot everything from that reset. After all, even the guy with the best memory can suffer short-term amnesia if the event is traumatic enough. They missed a perfect chance for making the setting more realistic and having the characters show unexpected sides.

>>19404What? That doesn't make sense. Why would he forget? Not only is his perfect memory an ability, so it very likely can't be affected like that, but there's little to go off of assuming that event would have any reason to make him lose his memory of that reset. If they did that it would be an extremely silly and plot convenient development.

>>19408Head traumas often cause short-term amnesia. That was a magnificent head trauma. Considering how little we know of these abilities, I've no reason to assume anything about what that ability can be affected by.
Human memory is really complex. As far as his ability is described, the most reasonable assumption would be that he's dumping his whole short-term memory to an endless and perfect archive of long-term memories. What other explanation can there be? I mean, think of the fringe cases. While we're sleeping, our ears still work, but we don't remember the sounds. Would his ability cause him to "remember" these sounds also? Or, if he passes out with his eyes open. The visual signals would still reach the brain, they just won't be processed. Would he "remember" these visual signals? If the answer to both questions is "no", then he's able to suffer short-term amnesia.
Of course, the real answer here is that his ability works on plot convenience, and the biology of the human brain is a terra incognita for the author.

I should have dropped this anime from the start. Even though for now it's not bad in the way I expected it to be, it's still bad. And it shows signs of going back to the style of presentation of the first two episodes.

>>19677I may watch that, even if I don't think I'll be touching anything else from this series even with a ten meter pole. It's the 10th episode, I guess?

>>19810>in its own wayI thought it was nice in general, no need for a qualifier?

Is anyone still watching this, or is it just that fff is dead and every thread gets ten posts a season?
