>>27917The current season has 2.5 isekai series. The summer one will have 3. What's your point exactly?
No.27922
This will be most probably much better than the current season. Not that this is saying much.
The mom isekai seems to be a promising psychological horror. People have been hyping me Arifureta for quite some years now. The other two fantasy isekai seem boring. Is the Silver Link one also isekai? Who knows. Fuck it anyway. The scifi one can count as isekai too, but it has a pink-haired main girl, so I'll probably hate it. That's about it for isekai. Only six of them.
Joshikousei no Mudazukai seems promising.
Do You Even Lift may be good?
The maou daughteru should be nice.
More Hibiki x Miku action is always good.
To be honest, I don't mind more Accelerator either.
I'll try everything as usual.

Enjoing Kanata no Astra so far. I guess that makes a second anime of lost high schoolers this season. Didn't know it is from the author of Sket Dance, which makes me feel a bit split on it. But seems fun so far. Might get heavy on the drama, though.

Maou-sama Retry was actually really enjoyable. Simple, yet effective.

No.28025
Kanata no Astra was really formulaic in its first episode. It wasn't that bad… just… annoying. This formula is really annoying for me. I don't think I'll bother with more.
UchiMusume was simply put bad, tho. Even though I like the formula. At least try to make us care for the girl, instead of just drawing googly eyes. Usagi Drop is so well liked because of its strong start, not because of Genji Monogatari. UchiMusume is completely missing exactly this start. It doesn't even do the bare minimum, i.e. something like Death March.
No.28040
>Maou-sama RetrySuper low budget but actually entertaining, although Kunai's actions at the village were incomprehensible. Feels like it'll have good character dynamics.
>DumbbellThe fanservice is all it really has going for it, but it's good fanservice so I can't really complain.
>Dr StoneI hate these character designs and the science in it is laughable wankery, but the soundtrack was great. It looks like it's going to turn into a battle series or something based on the ED (OP).
>GranbelmThese mecha designs suck. Super Robot Wars stopped using chibi proportions in half the animations because they knew it was cheap instead of cool; everything in this just looks lame and it also makes the action less visibly coherent. It also had a severe overuse of angry girl yelling with scrunched up faces.
>Fire ForceNice animation, cute girls, don't have much praise for it beyond that. I hope the next episodes will be a bit less dramatic because all the focus on the MC's family dragged.
>AraburuThis was actually hilarious but I'm wary that it'll move towards shitty drama instead.
>>28012I was enjoying it aside from the absolute idiocy about saving Aries, but apparently that was all anime original rewrites and in the manga they just used the winch sensibly instead of being retarded. So I'll just read the manga instead if the anime staff is determined to shit on it.
>>28025I hope she'll actually be talking by next episode, or it'll be really tedious to sit through. If nothing else I did like how they explained the MC's oddly selective knowledge of demon language as being because it's the language used for spells.
No.28041
>>28040>If nothing else I did like how they explained the MC's oddly selective knowledge of demon language as being because it's the language used for spells.Yeah. I also always like this type of spellcasting with two simultaneous voiceovers. But that was about the entirety of the positive sides.
>but apparently that was all anime original rewrites and in the manga they just used the winch sensibly instead of being retardedOh. I actually couldn't bear this scene and skipped through it, because it was pointless and painfully slow. So the manga is more into the technicalities of surviving and less into the whole "retarded character drama" thing? Still, it didn't have watersports by the sixth minute, so it's bad.

The biggest problem with this series is that the vampire girl got shafted hard. You can hardly feel her relationship with the MC being anything more special than the rest of the harem. She barely gets a few lines per episode now. Only last episode she was a bit more active to tell us how happy is about MC getting to fuck all of them. For a couple that is suppose to be devoted to each other, there sure are too many other bitches around.
Also why did he even give the bunny the motorcycle? Just let her ride in the back with the dragon.

Cop Craft could have been a masterpiece if not for the bad animation. Characters and story were really great. I hear Exedilica wasn't a loli originally, but I'm glad the author caved in and changed her. This archetype works best with lolis.
No.28722
I'm now certain Kimetsu no Yaiba has Mizukami influence. This "let's interrupt the protagonist's ladder" thing is a Mizukami-specific trope. It happened almost 1:1 in Planet With, but it also happened in similar ways in Samidare and in Sengoku Youko. And I don't really remember it happening anywhere else. Until now.
Extrapolating on this, I guess the imouto is set in course to be the resident "villain kid grows up to a protagonist" character? That is to say, she'll eventually stop being so silent and we'll be able to see some of her thought process. And it will be one of an oni that is somewhat confused why she has such a large family and why she's protecting all of them. And she'll slowly grow out of this mindset, seeing reality for what it is but still choosing to be a protagonist. That might be nice.
Unfortunately, following this story would also require tolerating the Hashira and the two other boys, which I am not sure I'm capable of doing. The author really should have let Mizukami have more influence over the wider cast too, except over the main duo and the story beats.

About the episode itself. It is true that the party was missing a healer, but I think the rest of the scrubs needed a healer more than Hajime. But perhaps he is getting low on magic water supplies, though can't he just re-supply it somehow?

>The harem is probably at least complete now, but god damn it, it is too big. Would have liked it more if it was just Hajime and Yue.I'd say the problem is that Yue is not Eu levels of harem-making matriarch. Both in the Korean zombie desk-car and here the main girls are the ones who essentially build the harems around their loved ones, but Eu just by existing exudes an aura of domination. Yue should do more smug smiles and less jealousy, and the harem won't feel too big. So the author tried to make a harem but didn't write it well enough. Also,
the samurai woman will also become a harem member, I've heard. But yeah, alternatively he could have just kept it to Hajime and Yue only. And, like, the bunny.
All in all, it was quite the good series (even the awful cgi just served to make it less edgy). I'm glad we're getting an S2. Hajime alone makes it worth it.
