So Chapter 1 and 2 were sort of meshed together so they can get the endings of Chapter 1 and 2 combined for the ending of the episode. It also felt quite pointless to start with an unrelated scene after the time skip.
Felt like Nitta's VA was a little weak, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Didn't feel much of a properly structured atmosphere, though. Not sure if a non-manga reader would even feel a thing while watching this. I didn't and I love the manga.

This was annoying. That opening scene was pretty cool. Is this time skip even early enough on in the manga that we'll be likely to see it this series?
And yeah, you're right. I didn't feel much at all. Not terrible to watch, but I'm really not getting invested in any of the characters.

Chapter 47. With the current speed I am not sure if they can even reach that properly, but considering they showed it in the beginning of the episode, I would think that will be their goal, to complete the middle-school chapters. And then we have a time skip to high-school.
The anime just felt soulless so far, which I think it happens often with anime adaptations of this kind of comedies. The impact of the individual panels is lost and so is the comedic timing too.
Also some of the best characters in the series are not per say the main two. Specifically there are two other girls that get a lot of chapters themselves that people really love.

It should fare better when adapting chapters like the one with the class taken as hostages, or with Best Girl becoming bartender.
But yeah, quite the soulless adaptation so far. And it's not like they didn't have money to make it good, some scenes were quite smooth. It just feels like the creators didn't care for the manga. Which is a damn shame. How the fuck can anybody not care for this masterpiece?

I've not read the manga so I found the first episode of this to be pretty good aside from the pacing.

It may be a botched adaptation, but it's still Hinamatsuri. I literally had to stop watching for half an hour until I calm down from laughing hysterically during "Watashi wa chuugakusei no kuseni bartender wo shiteimasu!"

First scene that the anime does better than the manga. The prolonged getting out of the box really helped me lose it.

Nice chapter. I wonder who to ship with Nitta now.
