>>31683I've taught myself Runes for about two years so far. Reading Yotsuba in the original language is a very fun experience.
No.31698
>>31695Hell, you're better than me, I've only gone through 1800 kanji so far. I did practice writing it at first but I ended up covincing myself I was only ever going to really need to listen and read nip than write it. Guess I'll start up again.

>>31698Not sure if better, this has become a long-running project for me. First time I started learning Moon 7 years ago I got up to 300 Kanji and stopped because the first DJT anon quit making threads. 3 years from that I picked it up again and got through all 1026 Kyouiku Kanji, this was a better run but for some stupid reason I stopped recapitulation and wasted momentum. One and a half years ago I started writing random Kanji up but noticed progress wasn't that great and picked up the all-in-one Kanji deck last spring and did 20 cards a day for 3 months just to get through Jouyou Kanji. After that I've done 1-2 new cards per day and repeated.
Yes, reading and listening was my main object too but apparently being able to express yourself helps the other way round.

https://1lib.us/book/2928903/63d53dThis book is a pretty good guide for stroke order and understanding the gist of some of the Kanji(at least that's what it says), it's been good to me so far. You can just download the pdf.

Sorry for not updating these past three months, I went through all the Kanji from All In One deck with Berserker (yes that servant) rage. Will now keep repeating all those 3787 moonrunes to become the ultimate moonreader.
>>32113Very cool, getting used to drawing hands now? Also what tablet are you using?
No.32128
>>32125>Very cool, getting used to drawing hands now? Thanks, my hands are inconsistent at the moment in that they sometimes range from "not that bad looking" to "what the fuck is this", though that's probably based on how much focus I put into the drawing.
>Also what tablet are you using? It's a Huion Inspiroy H640P, it's not bad for a cheap little $40 tablet.
No.32131
>>32128Yeah some parts just need a lot more practise than others, keep on it anon I know you can do it. And the tablet seems fine, there are artists who don't need much size on the drawing surface anyway and the pencil reacting to pressure is already beyond what my discontinued Trust tablet can do. Even basic functions are sufficient for years to come.
