Here I was thinking how uncannily this creature resembled Rin, and it turns out they actually hired her VA to voice it. Now this screenshot and her comments about appending -nyaa to sentences and the name "Love Rice" make more sense, the whole episode was a string of references to Love Live. I still don't get what the name "89" means, though.

Reminds me of how in locodol the picked the lead VAs from LL, im@s and aikatsu to voice the rival team, good times.
