>>20824The manga was an adaptation actually, and it was nice from what I read of it. A great innovation it had that separated it from the television series was that it didn't force a death scene into each chapter, as opposed to TV where they tended to ruin good episodes by shoving half-assed ones in there just to showcase their new version of Jigoku Rock.
I liked season 3 though: while it might have been unnecessary given the end of the second season, and the method of narration shifted to tell the sad tale of some random moeblob, they gave themselves 26 episodes and made it work, unlike what they did with the abomination I just watched.
