But when you think about it, they specifically put the blindfold so high that Gab will not accidentally hit her for reals. Considering how often this scene has been done in other anime, I actually think this was less outrageous. Somehow leaving it to random chance whether she will really hit her friend or not seems way more assholeish.

And let's say Vigne still had some faith in Gab and Raphi. It's a Vigne thing to trust even dameningen, I mean, dametenshi like them.

I just realized the kanji used there is not the 円 for y/en. It is actually 均. Just like I thought after a search it turns out that 100均 means a "100 yen shop" and it is read as ヒャッキン (hyakkin). So it is actually a "100-yen-shop ribbon", which doesn't mean for sure that it costs 100 yen, but I guess it works as a faster and easier to understand translation.

While all of the new characters are exactly the archetypes I expected them to be, I still found them funny.
Maybe it's partially because of the animation this episode.

It was fucking abysmal, there were a few sequences that had one still shot kept on screen for minutes. If I have to compare how bad it was, I'd mention 2007 Shaft and .ppt
But, at the same time, again not unlike 2007 Shaft, the missing animation did serve its narrative purpose. It complemented the narrative instead of shitting on it. And, judging by the scene of pic related, the animators were also on drugs. Sasuga ex-Shaft.
